STEM CELL OF AMERICA TESTIMONIAL – Incomplete Spinal Cord Injury

Patient: JS, 50 years old.
Diagnosis - Incomplete Spinal Cord Injury (suffered injury 22 years prior to treatment)
Treatment Date - 4/18/15
5 month follow-up
Right away: scrunch up my toes all the way on both feet.
Could lift legs up to cross them: left easier, Open my right hand all the way. A lot of energy. As time goes on: physio and swimming every day. Training on treadmill to walk heel toe, heel toe, lift up legs and keep my back straight. A lot of thinking to train myself to walk properly instead of wrong for the last 22 years. 10-15 minutes is hard work. Still lots of energy.
By 3 months: I am walking most of the time with my cane. It is so awesome when I can walk by myself. I am walking a bit more properly. Friends say I am walking straighter and faster. I still scrunch my toes every day cause I can. I have a lot more feeling on the bottom of my feet. This definitely gives me more stability and the more sensation cuts back on the burning which causes less pain. I have been able to cut down on a lot of medications. I take OxyContin for pain. At present I am taking 2 or 3 a day. One big reason is because of my back. Because I am doing all these exercises it has put strain on my back because I still need more work at walking properly. I am so happy doing all these exercises and not working I have cut right down on my antidepressants. I have also weaned myself off Ampyra completely. Ampyra really helped my bladder. It is a very expensive drug: $468.00 for a two week supply. The stem cell treatment has obviously helped my bladder or there is no way I would be able to go off Ampyra.
